Jesse Lingard reveals funny anecdote about Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been nothing short of brilliant since he arrived at Manchester United.

Not only is the Swede a verified goal machine, he's also been a source of entertainment both on and off the pitch, just as he has been throughout his entire career.

Some of his goals have been particularly special - his scrappy scissor kick against Galatasaray in the Europa League and his climbing header against Southampton showed just how flexible he still is despite his age.

And Jesse Lingard has now added to the awe that surrounds Ibra by revealing a hilarious anecdote about the maverick striker.

The England international was alongside Memphis Depay - who is no laughing matter - but told Inside United:

"The other day Zlatan kicked the pull-up bar, he just roundhouse kicked it."

How is that even possible, let alone for a man of Zlatan's advancing years?

It's all good news for United fans, though, as he's clearly lost none of his enthusiasm in the training ground.

Club of eccentrics

Lingard himself has been known to be a little eccentric. It's only a few days since he posted a video of himself accidentally throwing a golf club after a swing at an indoor simulator. And last season, he reacted to the United bus being attacked by West Ham hooligans by videoing the entire experience.

It's safe to say Ibra has therefore fitted right in at the club, with Jose Mourinho previously hailing his influence on young players.

United travel to Liverpool for the derby on Monday night, and with Jurgen Klopp's side flying high, they will be relying on Ibrahimovic to be at his best. If the Red Devils do slip up, they are in danger of falling off the pace already in the race for the top four.
