Conor McGregor's latest tweet shows just how rich he really is

Conor McGregor is a man that doesn't hide the fact that he is wealthy. In fact, it is quite the opposite.

The Irishman is in the midst of his preparations for UFC 205 on November 12 in New York, the first time in history the UFC will have a show in Madison Square Garden.

The Notorious One will take on UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in an attempt to reign supreme over two different weight classes, which no one has done before in the UFC.

Even though McGregor will be forced to vacate one of the titles if he wins, he still wants to make history. His penchant for doing just that has earned him a hell of a lot of money in recent years, and he has appeared in three of the top four grossing UFC events ever.

In fact, when the state of Nevada fined McGregor $150,000 for throwing bottles of water at Nate Diaz in the press conference leading up to their UFC 202 showdown, the UFC featherweight champion couldn't help himself.

Now, also on Twitter, McGregor has taken time out of preparations for his next fight - which is only four weeks away - to remind everyone just how damn rich he is.

Sitting in his BMW i8, that car is worth a cool $200,000. Obviously, Nevada's fine didn't hit him quite hard enough.

Mystic Mac is far more than a UFC fighter these days, he is a brand in himself. Much like Floyd Mayweather before him in the boxing world, McGregor takes great pride in not only showing off his wealth, but doing so in the run up to a big fight.

We would sincerely doubt Alvarez has a BMW i8, anyway.
