Golberg is set to make his WWE return for the first time in more than 12 years tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw and it seems that WWE may have a twisted way of welcoming back the former WCW superstar according to recent reports from The Inquisitr.

Fans have been waiting for Goldberg to return to the WWE for more than a decade and the company could ruin the hero's welcome he looks set to receive by turning him heel ahead of his match against Brock Lesnar.

Brock has recently been perceived as more of a heel character and definitely performed as a heel in his latest match against Randy Orton but now he could be taking on the role as a face.

It seems highly likely that Goldberg and Lesnar look set to collide at Survivor Series in Toronto, Canada next month and given the fact that Lesnar hasn't been pinned for more than three years means that it would be hard for the WWE Universe to accept Goldberg winning the match.

Goldberg doesn't have the best history in Canada and WWE could be worried that the former superstar would gain the wrong reaction from the smart wrestling fans in the audience.

It is highly unlikely that Goldberg will walk out of the match with a victory and perhaps WWE thinks that the best option is to make him a heel because fans will then route for Lesnar instead.

As of yet, it is unknown if Goldberg will be sticking around after his match with Brock Lesnar but it is rumoured that is could actually be a one-off because Vince McMahon is still not hot on his return.

If he does turn heel then this opens the door to him being able to create more feuds with other stars after his match with Lesnar if he does decide to stick around, but more than anything his task is to help promote 2K17.

WWE is unsure of the reaction that Goldberg will receive when he returns to the company tomorrow night, but it seems that a heel turn would be at some point down the line since they have recently added many more appearance dates. Lesnar and Goldberg will finally be face to face on November 14th, which is the final Raw before Survivor Series.
