AJ Styles has had an incredible year in the WWE where he was the biggest surprise in the Royal Rumble, faced Chris Jericho at WrestleMania, defeated John Cena clean, and also captured the WWE Championship.
That’s more than some stars accomplish in their entire careers, but this could just be the beginning for Styles with many more possibilities on the horizon.
DREAM MATCH IN THE WWE
When discussing Styles, dream matches are often brought up because of how insanely talented he is, and we’ve already witnessed one when Styles defeated Cena earlier this year.

The Phenomenal One reiterated this week that in the WWE, a dream match for him is a clash with Randy Orton and with both stars on SmackDown LIVE, they’re bound to meet in the ring at one point or another.
Now that he did what he said he’ll do when defeating Cena and Dean Ambrose at No Mercy, we’re all left wondering who the next challenger will be.
The same question was asked to SmackDown’s Mauro Ranallo on Twitter, and he gave Shinsuke Nakamura as his answer.
The Phoenix New Times caught up with the WWE Champion this week, and asked him about the possibility of facing The King of Strong Style on the main roster in the near future
THE KING OF STRONG STYLE VS. THE PHENOMENAL ONE
He said: “I think Shinsuke Nakamura’s going to have to work his way up to where I am. I don’t have to work myself to where he is.
“I’m the World Heavyweight Champion. So if he wants a piece of AJ Styles and can find a way of getting onto the SmackDown roster, he can come and get some. It may sound cliché, but he don’t want none.
“But, would people like to see the matchup? Absolutely. And I would love to give it to them.”
Fans of either of these men will know that whenever they meet, their matches are incredible and we only have to look at their clash at Wrestle Kingdom 10 which took place in January this year.
Nakamura defeated Styles for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship inside of the Tokyo Dome on that occasion, but it might be beneficial for the current NXT Champion pick the blue over red when it's time to move on up to the main roster.
Before Nakamura can think of moving up to face Styles in what will be an incredible feud and match, he needs to focus on NXT TakeOver: Toronto where he defends his crown against Samoa Joe.
