If you were to ask 'who is the most over WWE superstar on the current roster?', the answer wouldn't be predictable.

It wouldn't be Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, or even Goldberg, it would, in fact, be James Ellsworth.

Well, according to memorabilia sales that is anyway.

Yes, the loved jobber is currently outselling some of the biggest names in World Wrestling Entertainment, with his new t-shirt flying off the shelves.

Ellsworth showed off his new shirt on this week's SmackDown LIVE, with Dean Ambrose handing it over to him ahead of his WWE Championship match against AJ Styles.

As we all know, Ellsworth went on to beat Styles, but because he won via disqualification, he didn't become the new WWE Champion.

This is the second time in two weeks that Ellsworth has beaten Styles, with the first coming last week when Ambrose was the special guest referee.

It's been quite a memorable few months for Ellsworth, who would never have pictured himself being in the SmackDown LIVE title picture a few months ago.

After making his WWE debut on an episode of Monday Night Raw, it looked like it would be a one-off appearance for Ellsworth, jobbing to make Braun Strowman look like the monster he is.

However, fast forward a couple of months and here we are. He's in a match for the WWE Championship and his t-shirt is selling out.

In fact, his popularity has grown so much, his t-shirts are currently outselling merchandise for Roman Reigns, Goldberg, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins.

Knowing WWE and the love Vince McMahon has for money, he'd be foolish not to keep Ellsworth on TV.
