Regularly putting in impressive performances on Arsenal's right flank, Hector Bellerin has emerged as one of the first names on Arsene Wenger's team sheet in recent seasons.
Unfortunately for the Gunners, the better the Spanish right-back plays, the more reports emerge about apparent interest from Barcelona, his hometown club.
With speculation continuing to grow, what Arsenal really need is to hear their star defender come out and reject the idea of moving to the Catalan giants. Well, in a video that has emerged today, the 21-year-old was given the perfect opportunity to do so.
Taking part in an interview published by German news channel Deutsche Welle's official YouTube channel, Bellerin was caught slightly off guard by a question from a fan asking what he would do if Barcelona tried to contact him.
His response will please plenty of Gooners...
Whether or not his answer was simply a way of deflecting the question, only time will tell.
Nevertheless, Arsenal staff and fans will still be happy to hear Bellerin shut down the rumours with one simple sentence, rather than talking up Barca or his uncertain future.
It is a credit to the way the Spanish international has been playing that he is being touted as Barcelona's next long-term right back.
And, judging by recent reports, Arsenal may have a fight on their hands to prevent the transfer taking place in the future.
Back at the start of the month, The Telegraph reported that, such was the interest from the La Liga club, the Gunners were ready to double Bellerin's £40,000 weekly wage to keep him in north London.
You can see why Wenger is so desperate to keep the defender - valued at over £20 million - at the Emirates too.
The right-back has been an integral part of Arsenal's recent good run over the past few months, helping himself to one assist amidst the Gunner's unbeaten run in the Premier League since their opening day defeat to Liverpool.
His pace adds an attacking outlet down the right wing, too, whilst he has proven himself to be more than solid in defence.
The question now is; when is that phone call from Barcelona coming and will Bellerin keep to his word?
