Jose Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge started in extraordinary fashion as Manchester United sensationally fell behind after just 30 seconds.

Spain international Pedro rounded goalkeeper David de Gea to tap home for the Blues to send the Chelsea faithful wild.

It was full-back Marcos Alonso who played a fine ball through to Pedro, who was on the shoulders of United defenders Daley Blind and Chris Smalling.

But United's defensive duo wouldn't have expected 'keeper De Gea to have raced out from his goal line.

Ultimately, the mix-up cost the Red Devils, who saw Pedro fire home from just inside the box.

The strike represented the fasted goal in the Premier League so far this season, leaving Mourinho and co. extremely animated on the sidelines.

The aftermath

Following the goal, an ecstatic Pedro, who has endured a topsy-turvy period since joining Chelsea from La Liga giants Barcelona, was booked for his celebrations.

Blues fans, unsurprisingly, quickly took it upon themselves to troll United and Mourinho by chanting 'who are you, who are you?'

England international Gary Cahill has doubled Chelsea's lead after firing home from a corner.
