Manchester United slumped to a dismal 4-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Jose Mourinho's return to west London certainly didn't go to plan as the Red Devils produced their worst performance under his short tenure so far.
It was a truly woeful performance from United, who have now gone three Premier League games without a win.
Goals from Pedro, Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante sealed an emphatic victory for Antonio Conte's side.
Ultimately, United were outclassed by their rivals and, unsurprisingly, there has been a great deal of reaction following their below-par display.
0 out of 10
Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst rated the United players out of 10 and one rating, in particular, stood out.
Indeed, Luckhurst opted to give defender Chris Smalling a shocking 0 out of 10.
Smalling, who has been one of the club's most consistent defenders over the course of the last year, endured a torrid afternoon against the likes of Diego Costa and co.
On Smalling's performance, the MEN journalist stated: 'His worst performance in two years. Showed an appalling lack of judgement for the opener and overestimated Daley Blind's pace.'
While Smalling was rated as United's worst performer, a number of other United players were also handed poor ratings.
Daley Blind (1), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (2), Jesse Lingard (3), Marouane Fellaini (4) and Ander Herrera (4) also received harsh gradings.
Despite the poor ratings - and the torrid result - United boss Mourinho actually insisted that his side played well at Stamford Bridge.
Following the game, as per United's official website, the Portuguese tactician stated: "If you can delete the defensive mistakes from the game I would say it was a good performance. Class performance, good possession, using the ball well, creating chances, creating half chances, pushing the opposition to a defensive approach and I would say obviously a very, very, very unfair result.
"But we cannot delete the mistakes from the game and the first mistake happened after 30 seconds. Then we had a completely different game because Chelsea's best quality is playing counter-attacking football, and especially in the second half when we were very close to making it 2-1, they punished us on the counter-attack.
"When we were close to 3-1, they punished us on the counter-attack again, and we were close to 4-1 with Zlatan and Marcos Rojo's shots. Probably with a few more minutes they would score again. Everything went wrong from minute one. After that, everything was against us in the game."
