As soon as Chelsea went 4-0 up against Manchester United, Antonio Conte responded by withdrawing Pedro and replacing the Spaniard with talented English midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah.

The 21-year-old has made several cameo appearances under the club’s new manager this month and caught the eye with a brilliant piece of skill against the Red Devils.

After receiving the ball from N’Golo Kante, Chalobah embarrassed both Antony Martial and Ander Herrera in quick succession. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

Chelsea failed to add to their tally with Chalobah on the pitch, but his 20-minute appearance will have impressed Conte.

The Italian coach must wish the Blues were competing on more fronts - in order to give the likes of Chalobah more minutes - but Chelsea are in action against West Ham in the League Cup on Wednesday evening and the midfielder stands an excellent chance of getting a start.

He’s certainly good enough - as his brilliant double nutmeg against United proves.

Chalobah done Martial by slipping the ball through the Frenchman’s legs and then played the ball back to Kante by nutmegging Herrera.

Chelsea outclassed United at the Bridge

Conte’s men outclassed the Red Devils as Jose Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge for the first time since being unceremoniously sacked by the Blues last December.

Pedro opened the scoring inside the opening 30 seconds, capitalising on some calamitous defending, before Gary Cahill doubled the home side’s advantage in the 21st minute.

Two goals in eight second-half minutes from Eden Hazard and Kante completed a memorable victory for Chelsea.
