Ever since the brand extension draft, there have been many questions asked and answered across the WWE.

Now that champions have been established on both RAW and Smackdown, we are still waiting to see just what events will be taking place over the coming months.

Another big return

Ever since Smackdown became it's own brand, two PPVs from WWE history have been resurrected in Backlash and No Mercy.

Now it looks like another former PPV is set to return as the WWE has confirmed that 2017 will host the return of the Elimination Chamber.

Elimination Chamber previously took place in May of 2015 and since then the structure hasn't been seen within WWE.

But now it looks set to make it's return in the usual spot between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.

With the Royal Rumble set for January, Elimination Chamber will take place in February - although it is not yet clear which show will have it.

Elimination Chamber will be one of two events taking place between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania with Fastlane also keeping it's place on the calendar.

The event was originally scrapped given the physical limitations implied by the majority of arenas that WWE utilise.

With more and more arenas using large scoreboards, the storage of the Elimination chamber became a problem and resulted in the event being taken off of the calendar.

Both RAW and Smackdown will need strong pre- WrestleMania programs and with the return of the Elimination Chamber, they are off to a good start.
