Football News

Former Intercontinental Champion The Miz could arguably be seen as the man who has made the most headlines ever since the WWE Draft.

Miz may have now lost the title that he won the night after WrestleMania 32, but his work on Smackdown has elevated his mid card feud with Dolph Ziggler to one of the most anticipated segments on every show.

A big change coming

With his wife Maryse by his side, the Miz has been doing some of his best and most intense promos of his career.

However it may all be set to come to an end for the WWE's A-Lister as the company's Twitter may have hinted at his wife moving on.

During a recent live event, a picture of Maryse at ringside was uploaded but the caption is one that has got WWE fans thinking about her on screen future.

With a caption that literally questioned if her future could be brighter without Miz by her side, WWE could be teasing an eventual split.

If Maryse was to split away from the Miz, the interesting question would be, who would she then align herself with?

Could she make another solo run in the Smackdown women's division and go after Becky Lynch and her women' championship?

There will need to be a big plan in place if they do decide to take Maryse and Miz in different directions.

New Angles?

Smackdown has become the show which tries to give it's talent new opportunities and takes the time to try and make their programming new.

It could be the perfect platform to experiment with the role that Maryse plays on the roster and aligning her with a new superstar to support or sending her out on her own could prove worthwhile for brand blue.
