Halloween is right around the corner and we all know that Americans take it a lot more seriously than us Brits.

That is displayed perfectly by Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman rocking up to a team press conference yesterday donned in a full Harry Potter costume, complete with an apparent replica Dumbledore wand.

Amazingly, Sherman also had the Harry Potter theme music playing while he walked up to the podium which makes it even better.

“You’ve got to bring your own music, this is a serious occasion,” Sherman said. "It’s Halloween. My son told me he wanted me to wear something, so it’s happening. It’s happening.”

As you can imagine, the waiting reporters had to ask Sherman about the get in as many magic-based questions as they could manage.

"Five quarters of football is pretty tough, but Quidditch — the beaters, the chasers, trying to find the golden snitch, things like that — that’s tough," Sherman said when asked which is tougher. "Five quarters of football, though, in the elements, I’d say that’d take the cake."

The All-Pro cornerback divulged that Order of the Phoenix is his favourite book in the series, while adding that he always feels like a magician, both on and off the field.

“When you’re a wizard like we are out here, sometimes you have to show it to the Muggles out in the world. We’ve got a lot of wizards — my son’s a wizard, Earl Thomas does some magical things, Michael Bennett is Black Santa but he’s also a wizard — so you know, you just have a good time."

Incredible work from Sherman. This is what we need to see more of in the NFL, players actually having fun.
