Catastrophic scenes broke out at the end of the fight between Juanma Lopez and Wilfredo ‘Papito’ Vasquez Jr., as the former knocked out his opponent before then turning his attentions to his foe's coach.

On the back of months of barbing, the highly anticipated clash took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but events took a dramatic turn once Lopez succeeded in knocking out Vasquez in the 11th round.

The former two-division World Champion Lopez took the fight a bit too far when he managed to KO his opponent, before advancing towards the trainer in the opposite corner and dealing blows until they were separated by match officials.

The grudge match has been building up for quite sometime, with both boxers publicly abusing each other and yelling out insults which knew no bounds.

That aided the fact of bad blood between the duo which turned brutal once they come face-to-face inside the ring on Saturday.

Despite decent overall records, both boxers have not registered any victories in their respective last two fights. Vasquez Jr. lost four out of his previous six fights, whereas Lopez failed to win against Jesus Andres Cuellar and Francisco Vargas.

The 33-year-old southpaw was eager to put Vazquez into his place, but nobody could have imagined the end result being this calamitous.

You can watch the shocking footage in the video below.

Although not beginning the fight in a favourable fashion, Lopez gained momentum in the latter stages of the fight, eventually ending the bout with an impressive KO before charging towards the other end of the ring.

Despite the fight being done and dusted, there is clearly bad blood between the two camps, especially on behalf of Lopez.
