David Luiz can never just let us talk about his football, can he?

The centre-back has looked a different player since Antonio Conte switched to a 3-4-3 system, having initially struggled following his £32million move from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

Once again, in Chelsea's 2-0 victory over Southampton on Sunday, he put in a standout performance to keep things tight at the back for Antonio Conte's side.

Eden Hazard and Diego Costa got the goals, but the Blues' defence deserves credit for another clean sheet.

Unfortunately, though, as is to be expected, there's only one moment that's got everyone talking on social media - that dive from Luiz.

The 29-year-old has always been a little eccentric. Chelsea fans are often as infuriated by him as they are impressed, and this afternoon will have been no different thanks to this moment of madness.

It shouldn't distract from a brilliant performance by the Brazilian, but it probably will.

Luiz at it again

Here he goes, taking a quick look at where Nathan Redmond is behind him before collapsing to the floor pretty spectacularly.

It takes a fair bit of athleticism to go to ground quite like that.

And if he thought the world of Twitter wasn't going to notice, he was very wrong.

Incredibly, while all these people clearly saw the dive, referee Mike Jones didn't. Instead of giving Luiz the yellow which he almost certainly deserved, he handed Chelsea a free-kick.

Aside from that, Luiz should be praised for fitting into Conte's new system so well, as his improved performances have been key to Chelsea's run of four Premier League wins in a row, with no goals conceded.
