The RAW following a historic Hell in a Cell event could prove to be the one that started the hype for the Survivor Series main event.

Tonight's show opened with Goldberg coming back to RAW for the second time but this time, coming to face to face with one of the men he will see at Survivor Series.

Heated confrontation

Goldberg opened the show but couldn't even get a sentence out before he was interrupted by the advocate for his Survivor Series opponent, Paul Heyman.

Heyman came to the ring and had a surprise for the WWE fans as he built up the imminent arrival, of Brock Lesnar.

It turned out to be a trick however as Lesnar wasn't actually at RAW and Heyman would get one over on Goldberg and the WWE Universe.

Things would then get worse for Heyman following the surprise introduction of the former United States Champion, Rusev.

Goldberg looks to be on flying form ahead of Survivor Series as he delivered a jackhammer to Rusev followed by a spear to Heyman.

Michael Cole would later report that Heyman was taken to hospital following the collisoon with Goldberg.

This is the first real clash between Goldberg and anyone associated with Lesnar since their impending match was announced.

Surely now, fans will be eager to see just what tonight's events will lead to between the two heavyweights in the three weeks before Survivor Series.
