Tonight's episode of Smackdown went a long way towards building brand blue's teams for the three Survivor Series matches set to take place later this month.

We would learn the identities of all five members of Smackdown's men's and women's teams on tonight's show, but one man who missed out may have made the biggest match.

Another challenge issued

Shortly after Smackdown general manager Daniel Bryan announced his men's team - and in doing so informed Miz that there was no place for him, we would be treated to an Intercontinental championship match.

Ziggler would host an open challenge to any superstar in the back who wanted a chance at the title, enter Curt Hawkins.

Hawkins' Smackdown debut would last mere seconds as a quick superkick from Ziggler would put him out for the count.

The match wouldn't prove to make any difference to the landscape of Smackdown, but what Ziggler would have to say next could do just that.

Ziggler has issued an open challenge to the superstars of RAW to find someone who will try and take the Intercontinental Championship away from him.

It is likely that superstars will be lining up to take this chance and of course a loss for Ziggler could see him become the villain of the entire Smackdown locker room.

Fans will now surely be trying to guess just who will answer Ziggler's call at Survivor Series, but in the mean time, he has the former Champion the Miz to contend with.
