Odell Beckham Jr says he's only just getting healthy

After setting the world alight in his first two years in the National Football League, Odell Beckham Jr has found himself back down to earth in 2016.

The New York Giants star is still undoubtedly one of the best wide receivers in the game, but unfortunately, he is still yet to put up the numbers that truly show out.

Currently lagging behind the dynamically dangerous duo of Julio Jones and AJ Green in the receiving charts, Beckham currently finds himself in 6th place in the league in terms of receiving yards as we reach the halfway point of the regular season. That could all change, however, as OBJ says he is now close to full health.

"I didn't know if I would make it through the game," Beckham said to Dan Martin of the New York Post. "Thankfully, I did. The bye week came at the right time. (It gave me) time to recover, get worked on all break. I'm almost back to normal."

It seems like there is double reason for Odell to be celebrating, with his nearing return to full fitness coinciding with his birthday, which falls on November 5.

"It's perfect timing,” Beckham said. "Right around birthday time. I always tend to rise to the occasion around my birthday. We definitely need this win."

Beckham celebrates his 24th birthday on Saturday and it looks like the former first round draft pick is eager to get into the second half of the season, with the Giants looking to take down their NFC East rival the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Watch out NFL, Odell is finally feeling like himself and it could be really bad for you.
