Chris Jericho insists Sin Cara didn't knock him out backstage

Reports emerged earlier today that two WWE superstars were involved in a backstage fight during a live event in Leeds over the weekend.

It quickly surfaced that the two involved were Sin Cara and Chris Jericho. This may come as no surprise given the fact both of them have been involved in altercations already this year.

Sin Cara came to blows with Simon Gotch of The Vaudevillains, whilst Jericho confronted Brock Lesnar after his finish against Randy Orton at SummerSlam.

After WrestleZone broke the initial news of a fight backstage, it was then soon reported by MLW Network that Sin Cara had actually knocked out Jericho during the encounter.

They tweeted: 'Hunico remains undefeated as WWE locker room refuses to accept this man as the baddest man on the planet. #Y2JKOd'

However, earlier today, Y2J took to his own official Twitter account to respond to the remarks made by the MLW Network.

Not only did he post his own thoughts on the tweet, he also tagged MLW, making sure they saw exactly what he made of their claims.

He posted: 'Hmmm haven’t been KOd since 1994 in Hakata Star Lanes. Another example of shoddy, uninformed “journalism” from the stupid idiots at @MLW.'

What's interesting here is that Jericho doesn't refute that the altercation took place, nor does he comment on what actually unfolded.

However, he did reveal that he wasn't knocked out, leading to more speculation that the backstage fight did actually take place.

With Jericho expected to depart WWE soon in order to fulfill his musical commitments with Fozzy, it's unlikely he'll receive punishment from WWE.

However, for Sin Cara, it could be another blow to his already stuttering WWE career.
