Philippe Coutinho has arguably been the standout player in the Premier League this season.

The Liverpool playmaker has scored five goals and registered six assists in 11 league matches so far this term and produced a moment of world-class quality during Brazil’s crunch 2018 World Cup qualifier against Argentina in Belo Horizonte on Thursday night.

The 24-year-old picked the ball up on the left-hand side of the pitch, drifted infield and unleashed a rocket into the top corner of the net. (Scroll down this page to watch the video).

It was a special goal from a player whose confidence continues to grow and grow.

There aren’t many players in world football currently performing better than Coutinho right now.
