Neymar clattered by Funes Mori and Gonzalo Higuain during Brazil v Argentina

There's just no stopping Neymar when he's on his day.

The Barcelona superstar gave a glimpse of his very best in Brazil's 3-0 win over Argentina, and a tiny part of him must have loved casting a shadow over a certain Lionel Messi in the opposing dressing room.

The 24-year-old netted just before half-time, adding to Philippe Coutinho's marvellous opener.

Neymar's always had his critics, but he showed on the night just why he's such a key player for the Canarinho.

Yet, it's fair to say it wasn't all fun and games for the attacker.

101GreatGoals have put together some of the worst fouls on him, most notably by Everton's Ramiro Funes Mori and Juventus star Gonzalo Higuain.

Now, few Premier League fans will be surprised to see Funes Mori lunging in. Liverpool fans will remember his shocking red card against them in the Merseyside derby in April, and it's fair to say some of his tackles leave a little to be desired.

Having seen Neymar glide past one of his team-mates, he wasn't taking any chances. Take a look at that tackle here:

As we said, classic stuff from Funes Mori. Who knew Higuain had it in for the trickster as well though? The £76million man should probably stick to what he's best at, scoring goals, though as you'll have noticed by the scoreline, he didn't do much of that either.

Higuain's moment of madness

All that frustration evidently boiled over to the point where Higuain grabbed Neymar's shirt in exasperation. In fact, he grabbed it so hard, his opposite number fell to the floor.

Watch that one here:

Neymar doesn't usually get much sympathy when he goes crashing to ground. La Liga fans will testify he's not always the most robust of players, but it's fair to say he'll be feeling a little worse for wear today.

How much have Brazil improved? Are they a serious force to be reckoned with again? Have your say in the comments.
