FIFA 17 player scores overhead kick after outrageous flicked assist

Twenty-two years on from FIFA 94 and EA Sports still haven't created the perfect football game.

Time and time again they've tried - and failed - to justify claims about their latest instalment being the most realistic yet through a number of irritating errors.

And the very same can be said of FIFA 17 which, while an improvement on previous versions, is riddled with flaws that make for a very frustrating experience.

Since its release on September 27, we've brought to you a number of videos featuring random red cards, goalkeepers not showing up for penalties and players making inexplicable mistakes.

Simply put, the overwhelming response to FIFA 17 has been largely negative.

But every once in a while, someone scores a goal of such beauty - and records it, apparently - to remind us exactly why we love playing FIFA so much.

In the below video, on Ultimate Team, xVL4DIMIRxP produces an outrageous flicked assist before firing past the goalkeeper with an overhead kick from just inside the 18-yard box.

Okay, so the goalkeeper should have done a lot better and shouldn't have been so far off his line, but what a goal that is.

The wonder strike didn't receive the recognition it should have, though, with FIFA fans using EA's post to vent their frustration about the game's slow servers.

Perhaps EA should focus on fixing FIFA 17 instead of sending out tweets about incredible goals...
