Conor McGregor was hot favourite to win at UFC 205 on Sunday morning and he duly delivered with an incredible performance against Eddie Alvarez.
The Irishman dominated his opponent from start to finish, dropping Alvarez in the first round before winning by TKO with a powerful four-punch combo in the second.
In doing so, McGregor became the first fighter in UFC history to hold two belts - the featherweight and lightweight - simultaneously.

A number of high-profile sports figures have since congratulated McGregor on the historic victory, with Tyson Fury sending the 28-year-old a brilliant message on Twitter (see below).
In the tweet, Fury joked that he had given his UFC counterpart "tips" ahead of the bout.
FURY TO MCGREGOR
Attached to pictures of he and McGregor against Wladimir Klitschko and Alvarez respectively with their hands behind their backs, he said: "Congratulations @TheNotoriousMMA on making @ufc history. If you need any more tips just ask."

MCGREGOR VS ALVAREZ
McGregor's cocky approach ultimately paid off against Alvarez, with 'The Notorious' saying in a post-match interview that he expected to win with such ease.
"Not one bit was surprising, they are not at my level," he said.
"They have got to have size, reach, length, you have got to have some attributes. If you come in any way equal to me I am going to rip your head off, it happens every time.
"Eddie is a solid competitor, Eddie is a warrior, but he shouldn't have been in here with me and that's just the truth of it.
"It has never been done before. Everything I have dreamed is a reality.
"I have spent a lot time of time slating everyone in the company. I have ridiculed the entire roster and I want to take this opportunity to apologise... to absolutely nobody!"
