It would seem more than reasonable to expect a player who has cost £89 million to have a near-immediate impact on any team.
Paul Pogba has lived with that enormous pressure since making his world-record move from Manchester United to Juventus during the summer transfer window.
For the most part, the Frenchman has so far struggled to live up to the hype and most sections of the Old Trafford crowd would tend to agree.

While the Red Devils have stuttered through matches in recent weeks, Pogba has at last started to appear slightly more relaxed on the pitch and perform at an acceptable level.
But despite his upsurge in confidence, the 23-year-old still has plenty more to offer in a red shirt – and it could be the fault of his manager, according to Samir Nasri.
The ex-France international – currently on loan at Sevilla from Manchester City – as per ESPN, told L’Equipe:
"In terms of pure talent, he's a phenomenon. But his performances on the pitch still aren't worthy of his talent.
"In terms of quality, but not yet in terms of what he produces, he makes me think of Yaya Toure. He's a player who can get forward.
"He has one problem: He still hasn't found his position. At United, they have dragged him about all over the place -- behind the striker, a little deeper, as a No. 8. When he plays as a No. 8 on the right, people say he should be on the left when I think they're the same thing. He's lacking that little something.”
Pogba has found the net twice in ten Premier League outings since returning to his former club, and United supporters are well aware he could be contributing significantly more.
No player enjoys being asked to play a different position each week, especially not in a team as dysfunctional as the Red Devils currently are.
Mourinho will play a big part in helping the Frenchman find his groove – but he must settle on a consistent role for the most expensive player on the planet.
