The first-half between Manchester United and Arsenal wasn’t the most exciting, but we did see some beautiful pieces of skill.

The best moment came from Alexis Sanchez half-way through the drab first 45 minutes.

The Chilean received the ball with his back to goal, with Antonio Valencia and Ander Herrera either side of him.

But Sanchez showed incredible awareness and skill to take them both out of the game with one single touch.

It was simply brilliant.

Take a look at the wonderful skill below:

Of course, Arsenal fans were never going to miss such a brilliant moment from their star man and reacted on Twitter. Here were the best responses:

Even Marcus Rashford showed his appreciation by turning away in disbelief:

Not too many lone strikers can produce a sensational turn like that, but Sanchez has established himself as Arsenal’s main man when going forward.

The former Barcelona man has been deployed as Arsenal’s number nine throughout this season and has rewarded Arsene Wenger with eight goals in all competitions so far.

He was a major doubt for this match after picking up a hamstring niggle whilst on international duty but, with the aid of a bandage, is able to compete in the clash at Old Trafford.

Despite his niggle, he played for Chile against Uruguay in midweek and scored twice as they won 3-1.

Whether he can complete the entire 90 minutes remains to be seen but there’s certainly capable of producing flashes of brilliant skill - as seen in the above video.
