While the UFC 205 event was packed out with plenty of celebrities, another interesting onlooker was WWE’s Triple H as he watched Conor McGregor create history inside of Madison Square Garden.

It’s no secret that the WWE have a strong desire to work with the outspoken Irishman, as he possesses all of the qualities needed to succeed inside of the squared circle.

The situation takes a strange turn when you consider McGregor’s words towards the WWE and their roster, as he hit out at them numerous times in the build-up to his rematch with Nate Diaz - and they certainly took the bait.

Whether he genuinely felt that way or tried to stir something up; nobody knows, but Triple H clearly liked what he saw following his emphatic win.

The WWE have a long history of working with celebrities, especially at WrestleMania, and they could be looking to use McGregor in a massive role next year in Orlando.

While LeBron James is another star they’re interested in working with, we already know Shaquille O’Neal will be working a programme with The Big Show on the night, so it could be a star-studded night.

Having worked with Ronda Rousey previously, this time, CageSideSeats are reporting that The Rock could be working a segment with McGregor.

A match seems unlikely as Notorious probably isn’t going to get into any intense physical action until after May.

But the WWE have a good relationship with the UFC, following Rousey’s incredible appearance alongside The Great One a couple of years ago, the WWE allowed Brock Lesnar to make his return to the Octagon at UFC 200 in a win over Mark Hunt.

If the WWE manage to come to some sort of agreement with the UFC over their prized asset, a role similar to Rousey looks to be the path they could go down, especially as it will be alongside The Rock again.

They are both incredible on the microphone, and fans love them both.

Teaming up with The Rock will be the perfect way to give the WWE and the UFC plenty of exposure on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
