It was dubbed as the mega match, branded with the title "Fantasy warfar, just got real" - and it lasted just 85 seconds.

Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg was the main event at Survivor Series tonight and after almost two months worth of build up, the highly awaited match threw up one of the biggest surprises of the year.

A victorious return

After not setting foot in a ring for 12 years, Goldberg made a victorious return to WWE as he defeated the Beast Incarnate within just one minute and 25 seconds.

It took just two spears and one jackhammer for Goldberg to claim a second PPV victory over Brock Lesnar - becoming only the second man in WWE history to hold multiple PPV victories over Lesnar.

The match had been heavily hyped and Lesnar got it off to a very familiar start as he picked up Goldberg and drove him into the corner in an attempted display of dominance.

That would be the only offense mounted by the Beast however though who would be shoved to the ground by his opponent.

Two spears and eventual jackhammer ended the contest with fans unsure whether to be elated or disappointed, but all understandably shocked.

It was a true throwback to the Goldberg matches of WCW and a far cry from their previous bout at WrestleMania XX which got off to a very slow start.

It was a memorable main event and surely the fans will be questioning just what this could lead to.

Could we see another WWE run by Goldberg? Will Brock Lesnar go on the warpath? Only time will tell just what the future holds for these two superstars.
