We may only be in November, but already the WWE are putting a lot of effort into next year's Royal Rumble.

Monday night on RAW, Goldberg - fresh off of his demolition of Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series confirmed that he will be competing in next year's annual tradition.

Goldberg announced his participation in the match and alongside the expected names like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, he is expected to be one of the favourites.

With TLC and Roadblock still to go before we reach the Royal Rumble in January, no other names have yet been confirmed for the match.

However it is expected that the second participant will be announced soon and that it will be none other than the man who Goldberg defeated in 85 seconds on Sunday night, Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar entered the Rumble last year and was amongst the favourites until he was unfairly eliminated by the Wyatt Family.

If Lesnar and Goldberg are both in the match together, it will be interesting to see if they are brought face to face once again.

The news that Lesnar is now expected to be in the Rumble match has changed the rumours that have been surrounding the Beast Incarnate for the last several months.

For sometime now, fans have been expecting Lesnar to be involved in the Universal Championship picture by the time January comes.

If plans have changed then it will be very interesting to see just what the fate of the Universal Championship will be as we begin the Road to WrestleMania.
