Cristiano Ronaldo proved against Atletico Madrid on Saturday that, despite his advancing years, he’s still one of the very best footballers on the planet.
The Real Madrid superstar, who is expected to win the fourth Ballon d’Or of his career next month, scored a hat-trick in the last ever Madrid derby at the Vicente Calderon.
His first goal was a deflected free-kick, his second a penalty, and he completed his hat-trick with a close-range finish following excellent work from Gareth Bale.
EA Sports have rewarded Ronaldo for his hat-trick against Atleti by naming him in their Team of the Week (TOTW).
This means the 31-year-old receives an updated card, with his key stats all improved.
Ronaldo's original FIFA 17 card
First of all, let’s take a look at Ronaldo’s initial FIFA 17 card.
He’s the best player on the game in terms of overall rating - his 94 is one better than Lionel Messi’s 93 - and boasts 92 for pace, 92 for shooting, 91 for dribbling, 81 for passing, 80 for physicality and 33 for defending.
Pretty impressive, right?
Ronaldo's latest TOTW FIFA 17 card
Well, his TOTW card is a lot more impressive.
Check this out…
Ronaldo now has 96 for his overall rating.
His pace has gone up to 94 (pretty generous, you’d have to say), his dribbling and shooting stats are also up to 94, his passing is now at 84, his physicality 84 while defending has been bumped up three marks to 37.
Apparently, Ronaldo’s previous 95-rated inform card is on the market for around 7,600,000 coins on both the Playstation and Xbox markets.
So lord knows how much his 96-rated card will end up going for.
Getting a 96-rated Ronaldo in the pack will feel comparable with winning the lottery for FIFA 17 players.
