When Daniel Bryan had to retire from wrestling, it was a very emotional night for WWE and all its fans.

Due to numerous concussion problems throughout his career, Bryan was forced into an early retirement, which led to him giving an emotional speech on an episode of Monday Night Raw.

However, after initially taking a few weeks away from the product, the former WWE Champion returned and was announced as SmackDown LIVE's new general manager.

With the brand split happening, and both Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon taking control of one show each, they both needed a general manager on board.

Steph opted for Mick Foley, whilst Shane went for the popular Bryan.

Despite not being able to fight anymore inside the ring, Bryan still gets loved by the WWE Universe wherever he goes, and the 'Yes' chant is still as impactful as it was back then.

However, in recent months, we have seen Bryan slowly getting involved in feuds with SmackDown LIVE superstars. Although he's not getting into physical feuds with them, he's certainly getting into verbal ones.

The Miz was the first major feud, which occurred after a heated episode of Talking Smack, and now Baron Corbin is slowly developing a bit of heat with the general manager.

Although general managers have had issues with superstars in the past, it seems like WWE are really trying to give Bryan feuds to get into on the blue brand.

And, according to Cageside Seats, that plan won't be changing anytime soon.

According to their rumour page, Bryan will continue to be involved heavily in feuds on SmackDown LIVE because WWE feel like he can get certain talent over.

There's no questioning how much The Miz has benefited from having the feud with Bryan, and it now looks like he's trying to get Corbin over in the same way.
