Tottenham, following their 2-1 defeat against Chelsea on Saturday evening, have now gone 27 games without a win at Stamford Bridge.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side took the lead in the 11th minute thanks to Christian Eriksen’s brilliant goal from outside the box, but Pedro’s magnificent curling effort on the stroke of half-time meant the two teams went into the break all square.

Victor Moses then scored what would prove to be the winner in the 51st minute, capitalising on some poor Spurs defending, to secure all three points for the hosts.

One man who was particularly excited about the match was the former Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole.

The 35-year-old, who currently plies his trade for LA Galaxy, was desperate for Chelsea to win the match and his former club didn’t disappoint.

Cole burns a Spurs fan

Cole, needless to say, received his fair share of stick from the Tottenham fans during the match - but he exacted his revenge in the most brutal way possible after the final whistle.

One Spurs fan tweeted him: “Thought you were dead tbh”.

Bit harsh, Charley.

Cole then posted the perfect response.

“Like your title hopes 👌🏿😎“
