If there’s one thing that Floyd Mayweather loves more than boxing it’s obviously money.

The 39-year-old, one of the best pound-for-pound fighters ever, enjoys nothing more than showing off his cash, cars, houses and, well, just about everything else he owns on social media.

Whoever said money can’t buy class had a point - not that Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is remotely bothered about what his critics might say.

Mayweather retired from boxing after securing the 49th victory of his career, against Andre Berto, back in September 2015.

There are reports that he could be lured out of retirement - rumours of a potential fight with UFC star Conor McGregor refuse to go away - but he’s rich enough that neither he nor his family need to work another day in the rest of their lives.

Mayweather shows off Pacquiao fight cheque

Mayweather’s most lucrative bout was the super-fight against Manny Pacquiao in May 2015.

Eighteen months on from his victory over Pacquiao, the US fighter has posted a photo of the cheque he received and revealed that he “still has every dime” of it.

“Gotta love these backseat drivers so worried about another man's legacy instead of trying to write their own,” Mayweather posted. “Ultimately, I will always have the last laugh. This is just one of my many checks, a cool $100,000,000.00 that I still have every dime of. Y'all still have to work however, I'm happily retired.

“At the end of the day, it's them Benjamin Franklins that matter to me, so the jokes on you. I've made smart investments, sorry for those who thought that I couldn't read, write, or count. Y'all call them watches, I call them time pieces. Y'all call them boats, I call them yachts. Y'all call them houses, I call them mansions. Y'all charter jets and we own jets. #TMT”

Such a modest guy.
