Seth Rollins and Triple H have been lining up to feud with each other for what seems an eternity now, but, for one reason or another, things have always gotten delayed.
Of course, we got a preview of the contest when Evolution and The Shield put on a series of awesome matches back in 2014, but after Rollins was the poster boy of The Authority, it has been speculated for a long time there would be a bitter divorce leading to match at WrestleMania.
The original idea was for this to take place at WrestleMania 32, but Rollins went down with a bad ACL injury during his reign as WWE champion, causing him to miss the whole event.
Rollins returned to action this year and Triple H would go on to cost Rollins the then newly-created WWE Universal title during a fatal-four-way on Raw, sparking their much-anticipated feud back in August.
However, fans have been left bewildered as The Game hasn't been seen since. With Stephanie McMahon - HHH's wife - running Monday Night Raw and Rollins appearing every week, it hasn't made much storyline sense at all.
It appears as if the WWE are holding off the two colliding in earnest until closer to WrestleMania season, but NoDQ.com has provided an update.
The WWE had plans to book Seth Rollins against Triple H at next year’s WrestleMania event. The company then changed their plans and started talking about booking the match at the Royal Rumble instead because they needed a big attraction match for the event. However, it looks like those Mania’ plans could be back on in light of Goldberg's successful run.
Prior to Bill Goldberg signing with WWE, the company was seeking a big attraction for the Royal Rumble that could help fill the Alamodome, which seats over 60,000 plus people.
Now that Bill and Brock Lesnar are both working the 30-man Royal Rumble Battle Royal match, the company is going to hold off on having Triple H return for a match against Rollins until WrestleMania.
