NXT has garnered a cult-like following since Triple H rebranded WWE's developmental territory.

NXT's home has been Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, but the brand has taken its shows on the road in the past couple of years, too.

However, the majority of their TV tapings take place in Florida and they are often done weeks in advance, unlike the live shows that WWE fans are treated to for Raw and SmackDown Live.

However, at the most recent NXT tapings, the fans witnessed something that is unlikely to make the final cut.

The Authors of Pain are one of the top tag teams in NXT right now, following in the footsteps of American Alpha, Enzo and Cass, The Vaudevillains and The Ascension, who have honed their craft with the Yellow Brand.

They recently won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic after defeating TM61 in the tournament finals, but the WWE's high hopes for them would have been checked after this horrible botch.

The two goliaths - Aken and Rezar - were facing two enhancement talents in a squash match at the recent NXT TV taping for shows due to air this month.

During their match, there was a very painful looking botch where one of the Authors powerbombed the enhancement talent on top of the other, causing a clash of heads that stopped the match dead in its tracks.

The match was immediately called off and the fallen superstar was left lying for around five minutes before being taken to a local hospital.

Wrestling is scripted, but the dangers, as you can see in the video above, are very real.
