After James Ellsworth went 3-0 over AJ Styles on SmackDown LIVE last week, it saw him earn another title shot for the WWE Championship.

Ellsworth and Styles squared off for the third time, and this time it was a ladder match, with a WWE contract hanging above the ring.

Shane McMahon was prepared to just give Ellsworth a WWE deal, but he wanted to earn it, and after Styles' foot got stuck in the ropes, the former jobber climbed the ladder, secured the contract, and also earned himself another shot at The Phenomenal One's title.

However, with Dean Ambrose the man facing Styles at TLC this Sunday, questions are being raised about when Ellsworth will actually get his title shot.

Well, according to NoDQ, the title match will take place on a SmackDown LIVE event, and somewhere between TLC and Royal Rumble, which takes place in January.

Styles is expected to retain his title at TLC, which would mean it would be him vs Ellsworth once again.

According to the same reports, there is absolutely no chance that Vince McMahon would allow Styles vs Ellsworth to happen at a pay-per-view, despite it being a title match.

The chairman won't let it main event a big show, and that is why it's expected to happen on an episode of SmackDown LIVE over the next few weeks.

If it is Styles vs Ellsworth, it's expected that The Phenomenal One will finally get a win over Ellsworth, making it 3-1 in the head-to-head.
