Southend manager Steve Tilson felt his side should have avoided an FA Cup replay with Conference North side Telford.

Jean-Francois Christophe's 91st minute strike rescued a 2-2 draw for the Shrimpers, who had earlier seen Peter Clarke have a goal disallowed and a penalty saved by Ryan Young.

Tilson said: "Credit to Telford, they got back in the game, and it took a fantastic strike from Christophe to get us a replay."

He added: "However, in the second half we should have been out of sight. We had a goal disallowed and a penalty missed and to be honest we had a lot of chances.

The replay will take place at Roots Hall on Tuesday November 18.
