England Under-21 coach Stuart Pearce has included Micah Richards and Aaron Lennon but rested his other experienced players for the friendly against Czech Republic next week.
Pearce has named a 20-man squad for the clash at Bramall Lane on November 18, with the likes of Gabriel Agbonlahor, Tom Huddlestone and Joe Hart left out and now in the frame for a senior call-up for the clash in Germany.
Other experienced players not included by Pearce are skipper Steven Taylor, Andrew Taylor, David Wheater, James Milner, Mark Noble and Lee Cattermole.
It gives Pearce the chance to look at Southampton's Adam Lallana and Leeds youngster Fabian Delph, with Delph earning his first call-up.
Nedum Onuoha has been recalled after missing previous squads with injury problems.
