Johan Elmander capped a fine Bolton performance with his second goal of the season as Gary Megson's men romped to a 3-1 victory over Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

Kevin Davies and Matt Taylor got the visitors off to a storming start with two goals in the first 10 minutes as shell-shocked Boro struggled to cope.

Stewart Downing thought he had set up a grandstand finish with his strike in the 75th minute but Elmander crashed home to seal the win two minutes later.
