Manager Chris Coleman fears Coventry will be down to the 'bare bones' against Nottingham Forest on Saturday as injuries begin to take their toll on his side.
Coleman's already threadbare squad was depleted further as defender Scott Dann and midfielder Aron Gunnarsson sustained injuries in the 3-1 defeat to Reading.
"Whatever team we put out on Saturday we will be down to the bare bones and it is a big three points against Nottingham Forest," said Coleman.
"We are missing five or six players all the time and it makes it very hard."
Of the defeat to the Royals, Coleman added: "The second and third goals were poor and you can't give good teams gifts. After that we looked sorry for ourselves and there only looked like being one winner.
"Reading are still a Premier League team in all but name and looking at them shows what we have to do. That is the standard we need to get to and we are not there yet."
