Noah Syndergaard is beloved by New York Mets fans for a couple of reasons.

First, he’s a world-class pitcher who just came off of a Cy Young-caliber season.

Second, he loves playing for the Mets and being a part of the wonderfully-chaotic New York lifestyle.

Finally, he’s absolutely hilarious and is one of the best social media follows among athletes.

On Saturday, a video of Washington Nationals slugger Bryce Harper was featured on Barstool Sports’ Instagram page.

In it, Harper, alongside his brother Bryan, was getting pumped up for the College Football Playoff game between Ohio State and Clemson and yelling the catch phrase, “Saturdays are for the boys”.

Harper’s wife Kayla Varner played soccer at Ohio State, so Harper became a fan of the school over the years.

When Syndergaard came across the video, his hilarious one-word comment sent shock waves across all forms of social media.

That’s too perfect. It also sums up the feelings that most Mets fans have about the former NL MVP.

On the diamond, Harper has gone 5-for-18 (.278) with a double, two RBI’s and six strikeouts against Syndergaard.

When the two face off for the first time in 2017, the drama will now be heightened. Until then, the legend of Thor continues.
