Mathieu Flamini mocked for dabbing during Olivier Giroud's scorpion kick

It seems like Olivier Giroud has kicked 2017 off with a bang.

Scoring his first goal on the calendar year in style with an outrageous scorpion kick, he will no doubt have done his chances of playing on a more regular basis no harm at all.

Not one usually known for his finesse, the striker has entered his contender for the Goal of the Season.

However, while we're on the subject of finesse, one of the Premier League's most recognisable celebrations is the dab.

Perfected by the likes of Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard, it seems that former Arsenal man Mathieu Flamini also wanted to get in on the action by throwing some shapes of his own.

But instead of waiting for the ball to hit the back of the net, the Frenchman instead pulled one off as Giroud performed his acrobatics.

Now, we know that Flamini appeared to be ducking out of the way rather than actually doing a dab, but what the hell, it's funny!

And it seems a number of viewers watching the game thought so, too, and took to Twitter to share a chuckle at the ex-Gunners man themselves.
