Bristol Rovers first-team coach Paul Trollope has dismissed speculation suggesting he and Lennie Lawrence are in the frame to form the new management team at Charlton.
The Addicks are looking for a new boss after sacking Alan Pardew last month. Caretaker manager Phil Parkinson will remain in charge at The Valley until the new year when the Championship strugglers will review the situation, and Trollope's name has been mentioned should Parkinson not get the job on a permanent basis.
"Where these stories come from you never know but it happens in football and this time it involves me and Lennie," Trollope said. "But it doesn't affect me and I know it doesn't affect Lennie, who I'm sure it has happened to many times before."
He added: "We have a job to do at Bristol Rovers and we are very much focused on that.
"I feel I have a huge amount of unfinished business here from the plan we set out with and it is very much work in progress."
