Peter Crouch's first-half strike and a late clincher from Niko Kranjcar allowed holders Portsmouth to book a place in the FA Cup fourth round with a 2-0 victory over Bristol City.
Crouch's 38th-minute opener was a fine one as the England man ran almost the length of the pitch to put the finishing touches on a swift counter-attack.
But it was also a controversial one as the ball had appeared to have hit Crouch on both arms as he defended a ball into the Pompey box. Portsmouth are now at home to Swansea, who won 2-1 at non-league Histon.
