Gillingham manager Mark Stimson lavished praise on his players after they moved into the League Two play-off places with a 3-1 win at Port Vale.
Marc Richards gave the home side a half-time lead but Dennis Oli levelled with a screamer before Adam Miller and Simeon Jackson`s penalty won it for the Gills, their second away win in four days after a 1-0 win at Morecambe on Saturday.
And Stimson said: "We've been away as a unit since Friday and to win at Morecambe and here is a super achievement. It's been an absolute pleasure to be with a bunch of players who have a great attitude and are as honest as the day is long."
He added: "Playing well against Aston Villa in the FA Cup has done wonders for the players' confidence and I'm very proud of the football the boys have been playing. We are looking a good side.
"We should have been 2-0 up before we went 1-0 down, and the way the players responded was magnificent.
"We scored some good goals, but the boys at the back deserve just as much credit because they were excellent as well."
