Bolton boss Gary Megson has launched a broadside at the Wanderers fans who abused him after seeing victory thrown away at Blackburn on Wednesday.

After 65 minutes Bolton were on course to haul themselves away from the Barclays Premier League relegation zone as they led 2-0 thanks to goals from Matt Taylor and Kevin Davies before two late goals salvaged a point for Rovers.

"I've had to cope with it for a long time and I don't like it. It's pathetic," countered Megson in The Bolton News.

"The reaction to myself is absolutely astounding.

"The players are having to cope with it and it makes it difficult.

"When they are slaughtering me it makes the players angry."
