Brighton have clinched the signing of striker Craig Davies from Oldham for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal at the Withdean Stadium.

Davies, who has been capped six times for Wales and counts Oxford, Wolves and Italian side Verona among his former clubs, sees a bright future for the Seagulls.

"Brighton can definitely push for the Championship - they've been there before and I don't see why they can't get there again," he said.

Davies and fellow deadline-day signing Jim McNulty may have to wait to make their debuts with the home clash with Peterborough doubtful to go ahead due to the snow.
