Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon has picked up a groin injury and is likely to miss the England Under-21 friendly against Ecuador in Malaga on Tuesday.

Lennon picked up the complaint during Sunday's goalless Barclays Premier League draw against rivals Arsenal, with defender Vedran Corluka coming off with a similar problem.

"Aaron Lennon was struggling with a quarter of an hour to go, we tried to keep him going but he came off and won't be fit for the under-21s," Redknapp said.

The stalemate at White Hart Lane against Arsene Wenger's men came despite playing against 10 men following the dismissal of Emmanuel Eboue in the first half.

Luka Modric could have snatched the win Redknapp felt his side deserved, although he was still pleased with the performance.

Wilson Palacios, on his home debut, was singled out for praise.

"He'll go on to be a big, big player for his club," Redknapp said.
