Leyton Orient have signed striker Scott McGleish on loan from Wycombe - and he immediately set his sights on helping his new club away from the drop zone.

McGleish, 35, has moved to Brisbane Road on loan until the end of the season to become Geraint Williams' first signing since taking over last week.

It is the third time the much-travelled striker has played for Orient and he told the club's official website: "It's strange. A lot has changed since I left, a good 10-11 years ago now."

He added: "Hopefully I can come in and we'll start moving in the right direction, with a big game on Saturday - Crewe at home.

"It's one of them, you feel if you get the three points you're going to go out of the bottom four. It's a massive ask obviously but we want everybody to get behind us and I would like it to be a bit like the cauldron it was when I was here before."
