Leicester extended their lead at the top of League One to 10 points, although it could have been even better for the Foxes who conceded a last-minute goal at Hartlepool in a match which finished as a 2-2 draw.

Steve Howard got his second with 10 minutes to go before Andy Monkhouse's intervention.

Peterborough drew 1-1 at Tranmere with Millwall and Swindon finishing the same, the former levelling in the last minute and Stockport moved into seventh with a 1-0 win over Cheltenham.

Leeds missed a penalty in a 2-0 defeat at Hereford, Crewe won 1-0 at Southend and Bristol Rovers beat Yeovil 3-0.
