Manager Lee Clark has revealed former Blackburn forward Matt Jansen is training with Huddersfield as he bids to revive his career.
The 31-year-old has struggled to resurrect his playing career since a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 2002 but could now feature for the reserves against Rotherham on Wednesday night.
"We know Matt through a mutual friend of ours - he is looking at getting back involved in football again," Clark told the club's official website. "He has only been training with us for a couple of days but he wants to start enjoying himself and get playing again and he needed some sort of platform to do that."
He added: "We have given him that opportunity, but there is no pressure on either side. He has come in, is enjoying himself in training and will have a little run-out in the reserve game.
"We're happy to help him progress as he tries to get back into football, but it`s too early to say what will happen. We're having a look at each other and we will take things from there."
