Sheffield United have boosted their push for a play-off place with the capture of John-Joe O`Toole on loan from Watford.

The attacking midfielder arrives at Bramall Lane for the rest of the season, with the Blades currently just one place outside the top-six by the virtue of one goal.

O`Toole, who represents the Republic of Ireland at under-21 level, has started 15 games for Watford this season and made a further 13 appearances from the bench, scoring eight goals.

The 20-year-old only made his first-team debut at the start of last season and went on to land the 2007/08 young player of the year award, highlighting his potential.
